hi,
can anyone give me informations about internet- and mobil-use on aconcagua-trecking?
is on tour any connection possible or only with a satelitephone?
does an european 3-band-mobile work in chile/argentinia?

Hi,
I just climbed january Mt Aconcagua. Our 3 band mobil fones worked well in Chile and Argentina. They don t work at all hiking up the Horcones Valley to Mt. Aconcagua. There you need satelite fones, you can rent them there as well. Most mountaineers are using radio comunication with the park ranger since satelite sistem is still expencive.
We didnt use internet up at tha camps but if I remember well they are offering in both camps internet.
